Dr Syed Asad Ali

I’m a hard working GP who is motivated at helping people live healthier lives. I’m friendly and enjoy my work and in my spare time spend time with my family and travel.

I’m passionate about improving the health of our population. This is what inspires me. An example was the incredible NESTA work on the reversal of pre-diabetes.

I invest my time and energy in change management whether that be spending extra time with a patient to help them stop smoking or helping a trainee GP develop their communication skills.

The three things needed are whole system buy in, leadership and external support. (which we are lucky to have)

The current approach is faltering and we need to engage our assets in the community to help us and themselves better manage the rising demands on healthcare.
