Garden Event
Parkinson’s & Dementia Café
Hattersley Group Practice held their second outdoor Parkinson’s & Dementia Café Event in the Practice garden on Thursday the 1st of July. The event had a great turnout, and lovely weather!
Mike the Magician was also on hand for some card tricks!
Throughout lockdown, the Parkinson’s and Dementia Café has been meeting online via Zoom, but it has been so fantastic for the group to be able to gather together outside in the garden again which they created for these events.
The Hattersley Parkinson’s and Dementia Monthly Café runs every 1st Thursday of the month from 1:30pm – 2:30pm in the garden at the Hattersley Group Practice.
The monthly café provides a chance to meet, chat and share experiences.
The café was established for people in the Tameside & Glossop area with Parkinson’s, plus their friends, family and carers. This has now been extended to welcome people with Dementia or Alzheimer’s as well.
